Block 3rd Party Cookies [Chrome]

Data is the new gold, at least when it comes to the internet, and the more you have, the more it is worth. To this end, it is not unusual for sites to offer up their visitor’s, and their browsing data, to third-party groups and cookies is one of the most common avenues used. While most modern browsers, including Firefox; Chrome; Safari; and Internet Explorer, offer a “Do not track me” setting, there is not a push for sites to follow it.

For those of you who wish to disable third-party cookies for all users of Chrome on a given machine, there is a registry key for that!

Chrome Block 3rd Party Cookies.reg

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome]
"BlockThirdPartyCookies"=dword:00000001

Save the above text as a registry file, might I suggest “Chrome Block 3rd Party Cookies.reg”, and then double-click it to import it. This does need Administrative Privileges, so make sure you log in as a user with Administrative Rights.
